By walking through the streets of Ferrol, locals and visitors have the opportunity to discover the Modernism, an artistic and urban movement, still preserved in many buildings of the city. Reference of this movement is Rodolfo Ucha Piñeiro, municipal architect in this first 40 years of the 20th century.

Going through the main streets of the city, we will encounter 28 buildings bearing the Ucha´s signature, conferring us the possibility to discover the Galician modernist style and its evolution through the New Eclecticism.

In our way, we will find 17 buildings built between 1909 and 1916 representing the modernist style and, next to them, 11 constructions of a more sober but monumental style defining the neo-eclectic movement developed by Ucha between 1918 and 1927.
