This building is an example of the neo-eclecticist architecture in Rodolfo Uchas work, resulting from the merger of two buildings and, although it suffered a major fire in 2018, its structure was not affected.
The architect approached the construction of this corner building with two different but complementary façades. The façade towards calle Magdalena has galleries at the ends of each floor and balconies in the centre, while in the façade towards calle Arce the design is inverted. In the same vein, there are slight differences in the different levels; for example, we find different profiles and mouldings on the windows of each floor as well as slightly different woodwork on the galleries of the different floors.
The pinion finial and the semi-circular window, added in the renovation of 1928, combine elements that mix modernist language with a more monumental eclectic tendency.
